Help For Disabled Dogs

Posted on: 20th July 2021

We have recently brought over 3 disabled dogs and will very soon be bringing over another 5 disabled dogs from abroad. If we can raise the money so desperately needed for their surgeries they will no longer be disabled. The dogs have either been born with deformed limbs or been damaged by accident or abuse. The first one, Luna, has just had her surgery to straighten her legs.

We will be paying for the costs and need to raise the funds for the surgeries to repair these dogs. The plan is that they will go on to lead normal lives, something which would not happen otherwise. The dogs are a mixture of Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds, Cross Breeds and a Husky.

If you are able to make a donation, however small, towards helping these dogs to lead a normal life we would very much appreciate it. Thank you.

Please visit our GoFundMe page to contribute.

Thank you also to Mrs. A. Hardinges

Sponsored walk

Supporters of Mutts in Distress, the animal sanctuary in Little Hallingbury, have raised nearly £2,000 from a sponsored walk. The money, £1,605 pledged and at least a further £255 to add once sponsorship money has been collected, will go towards paying outstanding vet bills of £16,000. Some 43 people, many with their dogs, joined the fund-raisers yesterday (Sunday, September 20) by walking 3k around Harlow Common. Walk organiser Kerry Snooks said: “It was a lot of fun and very successful.” Kerry, who lives in Bush Fair, Harlow, was there with her rescue dog Rocco. She takes Rocco to dog training classes at Mutts in Distress and when she discovered the sanctuary desperately needed money to pay mounting vet bills she decided to do what she could to raise some money.
