Thank you very much to Mrs. A. Hardinges who sent a donation to Mutts in Distress in memory of her close friend Stephen Hollyer who sadly died recently. We are very grateful that you thought of us at such a difficult time.
Thank you to everyone who shopped at Asda and put your tokens in the Mutts in Distress collection box! Thank you also to the staff of Asda for putting our cause forward and to Asda for allowing it!!
Here are two of the lovely girls from Asda, one of whom is pictured presenting yours truly with a cheque for TWO HUNDRED POUNDS!!!
Here’s an easy way to help us at Mutts in Distress. Just remember, when you shop online, to use our Easy Fund Raising page, and Mutts will receive a commission on anything you buy.
Supporters of Mutts in Distress, the animal sanctuary in Little Hallingbury, have raised nearly £2,000 from a sponsored walk. The money, £1,605 pledged and at least a further £255 to add once sponsorship money has been collected, will go towards paying outstanding vet bills of £16,000. Some 43 people, many with their dogs, joined the fund-raisers yesterday (Sunday, September 20) by walking 3k around Harlow Common. Walk organiser Kerry Snooks said: “It was a lot of fun and very successful.” Kerry, who lives in Bush Fair, Harlow, was there with her rescue dog Rocco. She takes Rocco to dog training classes at Mutts in Distress and when she discovered the sanctuary desperately needed money to pay mounting vet bills she decided to do what she could to raise some money.
