Morning Pat,
Tiger is doing absolutely brilliantly. The minute he walked through the door, he made himself at home and has been great with the cats and toilet training. Taking him for a walk is amazing as he never pulls and once we’re away from cars, (which he doesn’t like) he doesn’t have a lead and he stays next to me until I say ‘play’ then he goes silly and runs lengths but never strays far.
Could you please thank the lady who saved him and all of your staff, as we’re so happy with him. He is a little lazy but I’ve got that out of him. In his first week, we walked 42 miles and the following was 39 miles.
We will also be attending the May Bank Holiday doggy day that you’re doing, so you will all be able to see him again.
Many thanks,
Alan Saunders
Letters to Mutts
It's great to hear from people who have given a home and a family to one of our dogs. Here are some of the letters we've received.
Manel
Dear Mutts,
He is a live wire and rarely sits down but I managed a photo today!
Thank you,
Tony
Bengie and Buster
hi Mutts,
I thought I would let you know that Bengie has come to live with my family and our other little dog Buster. Bengie has settled in really well and is eating plenty. He enjoys going for walks around the fields with Buster and is teaching Buster how to walk as nicely as he does.
Bengie and Buster love to sit on the sofa together and sleep in their beds at night.
He will have a home for life with us and it is a privilege to have his company.
I can assure you that he is quite happy,
Thank you. x
Toby and best friend Luke
Hi Mutts,
Here is a picture of Toby, who used to be called Gump because he was found in a forest. He is very loving although still a little nervous of strangers but he is fine if people allow him to come to them.
He is well trained, comes to the whistle and loves retrieving. He can even take directions to find a toy hidden at a distance.
Toby’s favourite human is Luke. He goes out training with Luke every day and sleeps beside his bed. He loves running and eating, he is a sweetheart and we love him.

A day at dog school.
I got to make a delivery of goodies to Pat’s dog training school yesterday and I just wanted to say how wonderful it is. Bronte and I have done three years of dog training in London but this was so much better and excellent value for money.
Panky
Just a short note to say that after 3 weeks, Panky has settled in well and is learning day by day. Panky has lost most of his nervousness and is enjoying long walks in the countryside, 42 miles in seven days at the last count! Loads of energy and no trouble at all with other dogs, he just wants to play with them all.
Panky is a brilliant addition to the family, going out in the car and exploring new places. Please pass on our thanks to Pauline for fostering him, she did a brilliant job.
Steve, Mary, Catherine and David.
Rocco
To Pat and Terry,
Thank you so, so much for all your help, advice and support. You really have helped to make Rocco a much happier and more settled dog.
Without you, the world would be a sadder and scarier place for all these poor defenceless animals.
We thank you on their behalf. Thank you for giving us the confidence to be the best owners we
can be to Rocco.
Kerry, Mike and Rocco. xx
Dolly
Hi Dolly here ,
6 months I’ve been at my new home. I’ve got lots of toys and get fed well.
I go for lots of walks and am enjoying my life.
My mum and dad say I’ve made their lives happy.
Thank You.

Muffin
I am writing a letter on behalf of Muffin. We adopted her a few days ago in Harlow and she has settled really well! She is a lovely bouncy puppy and she is always up for some fuss! She is very good in the home and already seems to know how to behave, she will be going for some training classes soon to get her some new tricks in training. We would like to thank Mutts in Distress for the lovely opportunity of letting us rehome this lovely pup! She’s very happy here 🙂

Jesse arrives home
Hello lovely people,
I just want to say that we love our new addition whom we brought home on Tuesday. He is Jesse, the sweet Alsatian. He is everything you said and more. We call him our gentle giant. He loves his walks and has already adopted the settee.
We have yet to hear him bark! I would guess wherever he came from, he had some command training. He sits at kerbs, sits for his dinner and can open the kitchen door when he’s been in the garden. So we have a wonderful boy. Not a bad bone in his large body. Yep,we love him.
Thank you for all your wonderful work. Updates in due course.
Pauline & Jeff Andrews.
